What is a StarKid?
Star: You know when you have that energy inside that you are unable to contain? It could be because you are immensely happy or because you are talking about something you really believe in or because you are working in something you love. And it possess you. You can’t really contain all of it so it shines through you. When people see you in that moment they can’t help but stare at you and smile. It’s so contagious.
Kid: There are people that will never grow up, not really. We are told that we should behave like adults so we try. But in the end we just enjoy things too much, have curious minds and, most important, we are not afraid of loving life. We see the world the way only a kid can.
Some of us has always been like this, others have forgotten for a while, trying to be adults. Watching other StarKids being themselves has awaken us. StarKids music connect with our inner star and make it shine of happiness, remembering us what it feels like. Seeing other StarKids being silly and funny and wild made us feel that is OK to be yourself.
That’s what we meant when we said that StarKid save us. It remembered us who we are and made us proud of being it.
About the Starkid vs Glee
Really guys? Aren’t we better than that.
I discovered Starkid thanks to Glee and, yes, I love it (Starkid) like 10 times more than I ever liked Glee. But that doesn’t mean anything.
One of the best things of this fandom is how we care about each others. But we should care about each others because we are PEOPLE not because we like the same things or because we discovered them before anyone else.
And yes, I think Darren seems really happy on the SPACE tour. Of course he is.
That doesn’t mean he hates Glee. This guy is working all the time. On top of that, living in that world (Hollywood) can’t be easy.
